The
Kingdom Within |
| |
Once
was not enough for one fragile
boy
to fill the hole in the
sand with the sea
so he took his brothers
to dig deeper
because it is easier for
the tide
to rise above the unbelieving
rocks
indeed than it is to understand
why
each grain of sand tells
copious stories
that only the child’s
eye can hear and feel.
Further down the gray powdered
orifice
the waters swell out from
sacred passage.
Small hands gather to drink
in reverence,
only they know the thirst
for after life,
only they know the truth
beyond the hole
where dwells the Kingdom
within - you and me.
