My
eyes open
to your turning of this book’s
cover.
I wait with bated breath
as your mind wanders
through every flying page.
I kiss your furrowed brows
and touch the soft points of
your curious fingers.
You look up
and I catch your smile ,
I press these gently closer to my lips.
You begin to hear my heart
in the poems.
I romance you now, too
with words my soul writes for you.
Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
close your eyes
you’re safe with me.
I am your fairy tale in your cookie-jar,
the wish you made upon my star.

I am real, these words it took
to put me in your book.
The poet is in, you see.
Believe me,
this is where I want to be.
Tomorrow perhaps we write together
and read lives in the Poet’s corner.
But for today, you’ll find me still,
in the book under your pillow.
I am in you enfleshed in three languages.
Yo te quiero mucho
y, me alegro muchisimo
esto es los mas alto rendo
obsequiado a un espiritu gentil pariente.
Iduduyan kita
sa sipol ng hanging
biyaya sa aking paraiso.
Ngunit
hiling pa rin ng puso ko
ligamgam ng mga yapos mo.
In each of us,
a life story all our own,
shaped by destiny.
I see a portrait of your soul,
etched in your eyes.
If I could hold in the palm of my hand,
the passages of time,
if only to instill in your mind,
essence of life itself,
I would have shared my faith,
in our eventual meeting,
when we cross paths again…
